Hi Alejandro,

if I understand correctly what you mean, yes, it is interesting and not trivial. In the glass bottle analogy, one would say that the kinematical characteristics of a collision of two bottles is only influenced by the fact that they are glass bottles, while the way they break up and produce debris depends on what’s written on their label…

A interesting thing to remark, from the point of view of divulgation, is that while scattering sees partons, jets see quarks.

Nicely done, I can almost understand it now. Actually, i rather like the garbage bag analogy, it might be helpful in explainiing some of this to my “admirers”. Thank you for a very imformative post.
