Search engine terms this week August 3, 2006

Here are a few of the combinations of words typed by internet surfers who landed in my blog yesterday and today.
- “parent directory ” Incest -jpeg -xxx -h : this guy seems to move around with search engines with ease. I am not sure of what caused the engine to return my web page upon receiving that mix of commands, though.
- motl is an asshole : This one is surely referring to Lubos Motl, a string theorist at Harvard. Well, what can I say ? Are you looking for a confirmation or what ? Or are you Motl, looking for people to sue ?
- Peter Woit : a total of six searches for Peter (probably people looking for his blog) ended in my web site. Quite strange these people did not find directly his site but mine.
- proofread my paper for free : interesting. Unsure whether this guy has a paper to proofread or wants to do it for others.
Of course that they [humans whom I can't describe while being both polite as well as honest] are looking for a “confirmation” of that, i.e. they’re looking for other idiots who say the same things. I was getting a lot of hits of those who have searched for the sentence “black holes don’t exist”. Very stupid people spend hours a day searching for sentences that confirm their stupidities – their goal is to become even more stupid. It would be nice to be able to sue all these “people”.
Hi Lubos, thank you for your visit…
BTW in the post above I failed to dissociate openly from the statement… Accept my apologies for that. I periodically comment on weird search phrases that ended up pointing to my blog, and maybe I should be more clear in expressing the fact that despite the pointing of my blog, they do not reflect my thinking…
