Today I was in drawing mood, and I started to sketch a few possibilities for a table with shelves on top of it, to place next to our kitchen to “complete” a wall that has been so far neglected - we had planned a solution during the remodeling, but then delayed any decision, and here we are one year afterwards…

So I took paper and pencil and drew a few possible layouts that assolved the required function - “hiding” the kitchen working area from the living room, while providing space for a laptop and a few papers and books. I like to draw these kinds of thingsĀ - especially when I then follow that up with buying the wood, assembling it myself, and creating something of my own. This time, though, I cannot do it myself - I am not skilled enough to create a piece of furniture. I will have to ask a carpenter to do it for us.

My drawings are only sketches, as I said, and they do not allow me to understand exactly how the final result will be like. Does anybody know a site distributing free software to draw three-dimensional figures easily ? I’d appreciate it…
